Technical Overview
- Double check valves are backflow prevention devices designed to safeguard water supplies from contamination. They feature two independent, spring-loaded check valves that allow water to flow in only one direction, blocking any reverse flow. This means that if one valve fails, the other can still effectively prevent backflow.

- A 40 mesh Y-strainer is a filtration device shaped like a “Y” and equipped with a 40 mesh screen. It’s used to remove debris and larger particles from a fluid stream. The Y-shape facilitates easy removal of trapped particles and the 40 mesh screen filters out particles larger than about 375 microns, such as sand and grit.

- Water isolating valves, also known as shut-off or service valves, regulate water flow to specific fixtures or appliances without disrupting the entire plumbing system.
